The Chocolate Festival is a celebration of our rich cultural and gastronomic heritage, where cocoa becomes a symbol of tradition, history and flavor that connect our people from Tabasco. The Festival has 13,000 mt2. of exhibition floor and 2,000 Mt2. of gastronomic area, where you will find chocolate exhibitors, cocoa producers, tastings, demo conferences, workshops, the new experience 'Origin', Chocolate shops, crafts, traditional cooks and much more. This year, the festival will have the special participation of the Mayan World Organization as guest country, expanding its historical connection and the union of peoples with their chocolate tradition.
This year we will have the honor of having the Mayan World Organization as guest countries that bring together Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico; as well as the states of Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Tabasco and Yucatán to exhibit their tourist destinations, gastronomy, crafts and producers of cocoa and chocolate, inviting their representatives to participate, not only as exhibitors, as well as jurors and participants in conferences and tastings strengthening the ties between countries and enriching the festival with new experiences and knowledge.
You will also experience the multisensory 'Origin', a set of experiences gathered in a circuit that seeks to tell in a recreational way the history of cocoa and chocolate from the Olmec to the present day. Origen is an experience that will have sign interpreters (LSM), information in Braille, audio guides, a tactile floor and wide hallways, making this experience totally inclusive. Taste of Tabasco
Tabasco through its gastronomy. Enjoy the autochthonous cuisine of the Yokot'an, Zoque, Olmec and Mayan cultures through its traditional cooks and its pre-Hispanic dishes made in the smoke kitchen.
Multi Sensory Experience
Enjoy a spectacle of images, lights and sound in a sensory experience, through a trip to the world of cocoa from pre-Hispanic Tabasco, learn about the processes and how the ancestral drink came to light.
